Reported Speech

We use "Reported Speech" when we want to tell someone else what the other person said. It's importante not to change the tense.

Example:
Present

  • I like to swim
Reported speech: She says she likes to swim.

Past
  • He painted his house.
Reported Speech: He said that he painted his house.

Sometimes we can use "that" to tell what the other person said.
